Summary:The Assay collection facilitates access to ScienceCloud Assay content and integration between ScienceCloud applications in a development environment that is familiar to protocol developers.
Getting Started with the Assay Collection
Using the Assay components, developers can create protocols that access and retrieve assay run- and plate-related data from ScienceCloud Assay, and also the design and execution of runs. Protocols can be run from Pipeline Pilot and other applications, such as Web Tasks, ScienceCloud Assay, and the Mobile App.
By applying the same security and access rules as those used by native ScienceCloud clients, protocol users can only access information they have permissions to view.
The Assay collection can also be installed on-premise on a local Pipeline Pilot server. This is the de facto-favored media for transferring data between local systems and ScienceCloud in a bidirectional manner.
Use cases that can be implemented using the Assay collection include:
- Configure additional Readers, Calculators or Viewers to be used in ScienceCloud Assay
- Creation of a specific Export protocol for ScienceCloud Assay
- Easy automation from upload of raw data from a local file or database to analysis steps in ScienceCloud Assay
- Creation of a specific dashboard based on ScienceCloud Assay to be deployed through Tasks and ScienceCloud-specific mobile apps
Assay Components and Protocols
From the Components tab, Assay components are available in ScienceCloud\Assay. The Administration and Data Type subfolders contain components that are useful for supporting all the fundamental actions for these activities in Assay.
From the Protocols tab, example protocols for the Project Data collection are available in Examples\ScienceCloud\Assay.
