Assay Result Validation Through Protocol

Last Updated: Apr 03, 2019 02:39PM PDT
It’s now possible to validate assay results through a Pipeline Pilot protocol that gets executed during data registration. The assay results currently get registered through one of the following 3 options:

1. Single registration (Project Data Entry page > Register entities > Online)

2. Register Assay results (Project Data Entry page > Add data to entities > Online)

3. File based registration using (Project Data Entry page > Add data to Entities > From file)

Once a validation protocol is added to your team on Pipeline Pilot, the team permission administrator can then choose to make it mandatory for the whole team. This makes sure that every subsequent registration gets validated through the protocol. Examples of how this can be used include:
  • Verify if a particular property is filled in (like test data not older than 2 weeks)
  • Verify whether a custom property value is valid
  • Verify and make sure that dose and time point unit values are populated and is valid
The team permission administrator alone has the option to override this setting. For example, if the protocol makes sure that test dates are not older than 2 weeks and it’s valid for a particular assay result, the team permission administrator can disable the validate with assay results checkbox. Any errors added to the provided input file or values by the protocol, will be shown if the registration is through UI (Single registration, Add Data to Entities > Online)
